Five Steps To Self Care

The subtitle of this post makes it seem like I’m angry or bitter, but I’m not. I’m not in the slightest. The truth is, it’s more like resignation. And not in a bad way. The thing is that people are selfish. All people are selfish… me, you… everyone.

We all like to have things our own way. We like to do what we want, when we want, but the thing is that sometimes this can’t happen, and sometimes the scale flips, so that you end up putting someone else’s needs before your own, or you end up making choices that can end up being damaging to your own mental wellbeing.

So, what steps can we take to make sure that we look after our own wellbeing?

ARE YOU EATING RIGHT?

We need to make sure that we’re eating right. Diet can be such a huge thing. When we feel low, the first thing that we feel like doing is going for the chocolate bar, when really, it will only give us a temporary feeling of relief. The truth is that when we’re feeling low, the best thing we can be doing, is reaching for the fruit. This has key vitamins and minerals (along with a nice bit of sweetness), which will help with long term mental and physical health and wellbeing.
